Attractions in the area include:- railway museum with fully restored locomotives that operate on scheduled dates over the summer months, 18 hole golf course, great fishing rivers with easy access, historic sites, pre-European Maori rock art, bush walks, close to several major ski fields and visit the local Opihi Winery and sample some of their award winning wines.

Directions

Pleasant Point is a 20 minute drive from Timaru on SH 8.  When in Pleasant Point turn onto Manse Rd (opposite hotel and Challenge garage).   Take the next road on right (Longview Rd) and we are 1 km along here on the right.
