The Lizard Peninsula has a wide variety of pubs, restaurants, cafes and tearooms. A good pub and seasonal restaurant are within walking distance of New Thatch. Towns and places such as Falmouth (home of the National Maritime Museum), Truro (with its beautiful cathedral), historic St. Michael's Mount, Penzance, Land's End and St Ives are within easy driving distance. Numerous wonderful gardens are nearby, and a visit to the world famous Eden Project makes an excellent day out.
