A charming French style country farmhouse set on thirty-five acres of rural bliss just 15 minutes from Whangarei or 60 minutes from the Bay of Islands. Superb riverbank location, with meandering tree-lined streams, abundant birdlife and tranquillity - a true haven. At Riverdale you are assured of a warm welcome. Two different styles of accommodation are offered.

The Riverview Room is in your own private guest wing located within the farmhouse. It has its own bathroom with quality porcelain fittings, power shower and endless hot water. Your bedroom is decorated in a romantic French style, enjoying warm afternoon sun. Cosy bathrobes, thick towels on heated rails, beautiful toiletries, crisp top quality linens, fresh flowers, and magazines. CD player and disc selection in room. Private guest lounge and library with crackling fire. Soak up some sun on the terrace surrounded by old fashioned roses or while away a few hours in the delightful private courtyard while enjoying a bottle of wine Farmhouse breakfasts are served at the sunny kitchen table. In season we invite you to help yourself to our peaches, nectarines, plums, apples, pears, figs, boysenberries, grapes and citrus. Tariff is NZ $140.00 for two.

The Cabbage Tree is our self-catering apartment, quite separate from the Farmhouse, with its own private entrance & parking. One double bedroom, bathroom, combined sitting/dining room with books, magazines, TV & CD player with music selection, fully equipped kitchen with full sized fridge, all linen and towels supplied. Continental breakfast provisions for your first few days are included, as well as all pantry basics. Great for longer stays. $70.00 per night.

Zion Wildlife Park, Mangere Falls, farm walks, golf courses nearby. We can give you information about the many beautiful scenic areas to visit in the region including bush and coastal walks, or help you organise a fishing or diving trip. We are also well versed in the many culinary delights of the region and happy to share these with you.
