| A charming French style country farmhouse set on thirty-five acres of rural bliss just 15 minutes from Whangarei or 60 minutes from the Bay of Islands. Superb riverbank location, with meandering tree-lined streams, abundant birdlife and tranquillity - a true haven. At Riverdale you are assured of a warm welcome from hosts who are well travelled and would love to meet you and hear your own travel tales. We share our smoke-free home with Josh the Labrador and Ally the cat. Two different styles of accommodation are offered.
The Riverview Room is in your own private guest wing located within the farmhouse. It has its own bathroom with quality porcelain fittings, power shower and endless hot water. Your bedroom is decorated in a romantic French style, enjoying warm afternoon sun. Cosy bathrobes, thick towels on heated rails, beautiful toiletries, crisp top quality linens, fresh flowers, and magazines. CD player and disc selection in room. Private guest lounge and library with crackling fire. Soak up some sun on the terrace surrounded by old fashioned roses or while away a few hours in the delightful private courtyard while enjoying a bottle of wine Indulgent breakfasts are served at the sunny kitchen table. In season we invite you to help yourself to our peaches, nectarines, plums, apples, pears, figs, boysenberries, grapes and citrus. Tariff is NZ $185.00 for two.
The Cabbage Tree is self-catering and is not in the house but attached to the garage block, with its own private entrance. Continental breakfast provisions are included. It is basic economy style accommodation comprising of separate double bedroom, private bathroom, combined sitting/dining room with books, magazines and CD player & selection, fully equipped kitchenette complete with tea & coffee making facilities and supplies, microwave, hot plates, toaster & fridge. Great budget priced option at $45 - $60.

Enjoy your rural haven with separate bedroom with double bed, small lounge & dining area, kitchenette with tea & coffee making facilites and small fridge. Private bathroom with wc, basin and shower.
