Chalet in the Wilderness

| One hour from Eureka, CA - on a 3,000' mountain top with 50 mile views, sits a replica of a 18th century Austrian Chalet of the high Alps. Two Bedroom, one Bath Chalet is Tole painted with carved wood trim work throughout. It sits on it's own 180 acres, surrounded by a thousand square mile of wilderness, with views of the Northern California Coastline.
There is a three day minimum stay. The property offers miles of hiking trails, meadows, fir forests, oak groves and breathtaking vistas in all directions. The 1,100 Sq.ft. Chalet itself is set in a park-like setting surrounded by Redwood trees and breathtaking 50 mile views. There is no electricity in this wilderness invironment. Lighting is by Kerosene Oil Lamps. Heat is by a wood stove. There is propane gas for the hot water heater, refrigerater and cooking stove. There is inside plumbing and toilet facilities. The bed is Queen sized. |

| Hiking, bird watching, nature watching, hunting; relaxing, reading, croquet, horse-shoe pitching, cloud counting; talking with your loved-one; enjoying peace, tranquillity, serenity. And at night time, counting the 45 trillion stars that fill the night sky, is an especially exciting experience ! |

There is a three (3) day minimum. Daily rate for two people is $350 - $1,050 minimum. Meals are the guest's responsibility. There is a full kitchen with all necessary utinsils and table settings. |

Directions

| The Chalet and it's surrounding wilderness ranchlands are approximately 25 miles south east of Eureka, on a remote back country one lane road - mostly paved, but with some miles of gravel. A stay at the Chalet requires a one night stay at our Eureka B&B prior to the three days at the Chalet. From our "Elegant Victorian" the InnKeeper will guide you through the one hour forested/mountain drive to the Chalet.
