We are prepared to cater to anything from a wedding to a romantic getaway. With two full size master suities with Jacuzzi tubs, five other rooms all with full private baths. As well all rooms are fitted with telephones, cable tv and internet service. The Palace Inn a century old building with modern day standards, yet retaining the old historical style and feel. The house is filled with antiques of the 18th and 19th Century. Guests can come sleep in a bed from the 1800's and marvel over other period furniture, including a large spinning wheel. This is a four **** star facility as ranked by Canada Select offering extensive, outstanding facilities and services!!! Things To Do

The Town of St. George’s Located on the Southwest coast of St. George’s Bay, was originally know as South side or Little Bay. Sandy Point, s small uninhabited island a few hundred meters offshore from St. George’s has a great deal of historical significance to the settlers in St. George’s. During the 1700’s-1800’s, Sandy Point was the commercial center of the West coast of Newfoundland, until the railway went through in 1898. Sandy Point Newfoundland Sandy Point, once the largest settlement on the West Coast of Newfoundland. The struggle to maintain a community on a sand spit subject to periodic flooding and Sandy Point lost its last two permanent residents in 1973 just over two hundred years after it began as a community around 1780. Directions

From Port aux Basques travel East on the TCH to Route 461 into St George's, turn left we are passed the Town Hall on your left.

From Corner Brook travel west on the TCH, turn onto Route 461 to St George's, turn left we are past the Town Hall on your left. you will see us the corner of School Rd and Main st. Are parking is of School road.

Now you have found the "Best Kept Secret" in western Newfoundland
