La Millasserie bed and breakfast is a 17th century country house located in the Department of the Dordogne in Southwest France, known by all who live here as the Perigord, the land of truffles, wine, grande cuisine, and chateaux. The Perigord offers great architecture, fine food, music, art, sports, and some of the most beautiful landscape in all France, and has the largest number of historic sites in France outside of Paris.
The Bed and Breakfast at La Millasserie offers four spacious rooms (16 x 20 feet; 5 x 6 metres) furnished with antiques. Each room has a large ensuite bath, and provides a king-sized bed, breakfast table and chairs, two comfortable armchairs, a chest of drawers and an armoire. Every room is in its own maisonette, with private entrance, private terrace and easy access to the pool. Two of the rooms can be opened ensuite to accommodate four people.
La Millasserie is located in the uplands above the River Dordogne that gives the region its name and is is a few minutes from the ancient market villages of Lalinde, St. Alvare, and Tremolat, twenty minutes from the historic city of Bergerac, forty-five minutes from the restored Renaissance city of Sarlat and from the two cradles of pre-history, Les Eyzies and the Lascaux Caves. It is an hour’s drive to St. Emilion in the Bordeaux wine country and two hours to Bordeaux, one of the most beautiful cities in France.
