l'Orri de Planès
The Orri is a trailside eco-lodge located in a maginificent natural setting alongside the Trans-Pyrenees walking trail (GR10). Run by an American man and a Catalan woman, the cozy 10 room lodge is housed in an old farmhouse that has been completely renovated. Guests enjoy buffet breakfasts and full three course dinners served in a beautiful dining room with ancient stone walls and wood beams and a modern fireplace. Meals are lovingly prepared from scratch using only organic and local ingredients.

On the property there is also a 12 bed hikers' lodge with self catering kitchen and a small campground with a mountain stream flowing next to it. In Summertime, there's a shady outdoor terrace, a solar heated swimming pool and an outdoor barbecue grill.

A global ecological policy governs the operation of almost all aspects of the lodge: the majority of the Orri's energy needs are covered year-round by renewable energies (thermal and photoelectric solar systems, wood burning fireplace insert), all food products are sourced locally or are organic, trash is separated and recycled or composted, cleaning products are non-toxic, etc.
