Le Pelateau is situated in the beautiful little village of Montgibaud. Montgibaud can be found in the Correze; a department of the Limousin. Le Pelateau's position is ideal for visiting/house hunting in both the Correze and the Haute Vienne departments of the Limousin and the Dordogne; or as a mid-way stop over on your way to the south. The views from Le Pelateau are breathtaking due to Montgibaud's elevated position. The location of Le Pelateau is perfect for those wishing to relax and enjoy the Limousin countryside. Both walking and cycle routes can be found on the village square and further routes are available. Montgibaud boasts a very good restaurant and local amenities can be found 5km away in the village of Meuzac; 8km away Lubersac offers full amenities including 2 supermarkets. A lake with a bathing area and fishing can be found 5km away in Meuzac; an ideal distance for a leisurely bike ride or walk. Ample off road parking is available at the house.

A good home cooked evening meal is available at 20 euros per person, this includes a carafe of wine per couple; the meal must be booked in advance.

Seperate from the house is The Cottage. The Cottage is a self catering accommodation with 3 bedrooms; it can comfortably sleep 6 but can accommodate up to 8 people. The Cottage rates are from 350 to 550 euros per week.

A BBQ is available for all guests to use if we are not using it for our special BBQ evenings which are held once a week in summer.

Things To Do

Water skiing is available 3 km away from Le Pelateau at Meuzac. Good walking and cycling routes available. Near to many historical towns and villages. Nearby lake with beach and fishing.

 Rooms

The Garden Suite
The Garden Suite consists of three rooms, one double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the garden, a twin bedroom and a shower room comprising a shower, wc and hand basin. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available in both rooms. An extra bed can be made available in either room within the suite upon request. The suite would suit a family with children or couples who do not mind sharing the shower room.

The Orchard Room
The Orchard Room is a large, dual aspect, double room with ensuite shower room, comprising a shower, WC and hand basin. The room has beautiful views over the orchard and beyond. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available in the room. An extra bed can be made available in the room upon request.

The Village Room is a large, sunny, dual aspect double room with ensuite shower room comprising a shower, WC and hand basin. Tea and Coffee making factlities are available in the room. An extra bed can be made available in the room upon request.

Directions

Montgibaud is located off exit 42 on the A20 which runs from Vierzon to Montauban through the middle of France. On leaving the A20 at exit 42 head towards Meuzac. Continue straight through Meuzac towards Montgibaud/Lubersac. The turning for Montgibaud is clearly signposted on the road 5km after Meuzac, it is a left hand turn onto the C11. On entering Montgibaud turn left and Le Pelateau can clearly be seen in front of you on the right hand side on the road to Benayes (D85).
Montgibaud is only 45 minutes from Limoges airport.
