Property Description

 
Nouziès is an unspoilt hamlet of three houses and barns lying either side of a rural lane close to the Dordogne river. The house is an oak beamed Quercynoise farmhouse which is less than 10 minutes from the centre of the medieval market towns of Souillac and 20 minutes from Martel. It has been tastefully modernised but has retained its characteristic features and is furnished with antique furniture
It has 2 large double rooms and one single bedroom.
There is a magnificent garden of a approximately one hectare set amongst dry stone grey walls and oak woods.

Things To Do

The Dordogne river provides excellent swimming and canoeing. There are also water theme parks, swimming pools and lakes close by. The area has excellent restaurants of good value which offer the local produce of duck, walnuts, cepes and truffles. The area is also famous for wine from Cahors and Bergerac. The architecture in the medieval towns and villages is stunning - Rocamadour is built on the side of cliff. Châteaux and castles are sited on the banks of the Dordogne. All towns have weekly markets selling local produce.

Bedroom 1
This large beamed bed room has a double bed (142 x 172 cm) and a full sized single bed (if required). It has tea/coffee making facilities, electric radiator and views to both sides of the house. There is a shower/toilet for sole use of guests.		Room Rate
Daily Rate: 40 euros per night per double room including breakfast (15 euros for an extra bed) Weekly Bookings: 250 euros per double room including breakfast (70 euros for an extra bed) Family Rates: 450 euros per week for double room plus single bed and single room including breakfast
Bedroom 2
A single room with a full sized bed which has views over garden. It has tea/coffee making facilities, own wash basin and there is also a shower/toilet for sole use of guests.		Room Rate
Daily Rate: 20 euros per night per single room including breakfast . Weekly Bookings: 105 euros per single room including breakfast
Bedroom 3
A large bedroom with a walnut double bed (138 x 195 cm). It has tea/coffee making facilities, electric radiator and views to both sides of the house. There is a shower/toilet for sole use of guests.		Room Rate

Directions

Directions to Nouziès from Souillac:
At the roundabout which joins the D703, D803 and the motorway exit 55 from the A20 (E09), take the unmarked road signed to “Déchetterie” and “Funerium au Viaduc”. Continue uphill for 1.5 miles/2.5 kms passing through tunnel under A20 motorway. The house at Nouziès is one of three, the only building on the left of the road after a small triangular field. Go pass house and enter its garden through a green barred gate 200 metres on left after house.

Train: Souillac station has regular services to/from Toulouse and Paris

Airports: Limoges approx 1.45 hr on A20 (E09)
Rodez approx 2 hrs via Figeac
Bergerac approx 2 hrs via Sarlat
Toulouse approx 2 hrs on A20 (E09)
