Nestling in the valley one mile from Hatherleigh the lodge is screened by pines through which the approach drive runs. Built by Lord Marchamley in 1930 especially as a fishing lodge, the single storey structure with its interior of Oregan Pine makes an instant appeal.

Situated in the heart of Devon makes Price of Peace the ideal touring destination. Explore Dartmoor and the North Devon and North Cornwall coastline. Rosemoor Gardens are closeby and the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are an easy day excursion. There are also many coarse fishing lakes and golf courses for those looking for the more active holiday, and of course the Tarka and Ruby trails for cyclists and walkers. Directions

From Okehampton follow the A386 north to Hatherleigh. Continue straight across the roundabout and on to the by-pass. After approx 1 mile you will see the Price of Peace on the left hand side on a sharp bend.
