Woodcroft Guest Cottage

| Thetched Guest Cottage, very well equipped for self-catering. Lies next to a succession of rapids and pools on the Lions River, a tributary of the Umgeni in a secret and little known valley. There is an atmosphere of peace and privacy but we are well located to explore KwaZulu Natal from the beach via the battlefields to the Drakensberg Mountains.
The cottage comprises a lounge/ dining area with a huge character fireplace, an Oregon pine kitchen with electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle, griller. There are two bedrooms. The main has a Queen sized double bed and the other two single beds. In the passage outside the main bedroom is a child's bed and a cot. There is one bathroom/loo.
Activities locally are the Meander with its craft shops, hotels and restaurants and for the energetic the Midmar Mile, the Comrades Marathon and the Duzi canoe race. The ideal though is to take gentle walks, flyfish, swim in the river or just chill out. Woodcroft is close to famous private schools.
It is set in 8 hectares of rolling hillside with a 500 metre river frontage. In the spring the gardes are a riot of massed azaleas.
