| We welcome you to the majestic north coast of Madeira, where the mountains fall into the surfed sea. This is the place for relax and mountain hikes. This is the place to refresh your body and spirit.
Casa das Videiras lies in the picturesque village of Seixal, 100 meters from the sea, 500 meters from the natural pools and the black sandy beach. The village is an agricultural and fishing village. It has the most charming people, natural and hospitable, and they are not yet run over with the tourist trade. Still you can find several good local restaurants and bars near the house. Try the fish specialities, and do not forget the local vine. The typical Madeira vine can be a bit strong, so careful with the number of glasses.
It is 40 minutes drive from Funchal.
A beautiful restored holiday home for the romantic traveller. Main house and garden cottage in the middle of a picturesque village.
The house was built in 1867 and it was restored in 1995. It is charmingly decorated.
The main house has 3 bed rooms, all with private bath. At the ground floor you find the lounge, TV-area, dining room and kitchen. There is much living space for the guests to enjoy themselves. The garden cottage can house one couple, eventually one or two more children, with a bed room with twin beds and a lounge with a sleeping sofa.

Things To Do
|
| The village Seixal is a 40 minutes drive from Funchal. It lies on the majestic north coast of the island. The house is in the middle of the old fashioned village where you will find the rural life long time forgotten. Still, there is plenty to do for the active guest. There are restaurants, bars, small shops (we can not call this a super market) near by. 100 meters to the sea, 500 meters to the natural pools and 800 meters to the beautiful black sandy. Swimming, fishing and surfing can be done most part of the year. Going up, it takes you a few minutes by foot to get into the natural and exotic laurel forest, a declared world heritage by UNESCO. Here are different paths or levadas for mountain and forest hikes. |

Directions
|
| From the airport you take the highway to Funchal (15 min).
Just before entering the city you will find signs, direction Ribeira Brava.
Follow this way to the end of the highway (10 min), there you leave the Ribeira Brava road, turn right and go to São Vicente (15 min).
Go all the way down to the coast.
Here you turn left and go along the coast to Seixal (7 min).
In Seixal, just before the church, take the road to the port on your right hand side.
Just before the last curve go left and you will find a parking place and the Casa das Videiras.
