| "A little miracle", "the best rest in the whole of Europe", "the best hosts ever" are some of the comments from our guests.
We would say comfortable, affordable and family friendly!
The house was built in the 1820s and is set in spectacular scenery in the stunning ski and spa resort of Menzenschwand with restaurants, bars, a swimming pool, deer park and ski lifts within a few minutes walk. The ski school is just a couple of minutes walk with English speaking instructors. There are views to die for in all directions and wonderful walks.
Set over three floors, we offer rooms to suit every party including three self catering studio apartments. Whatever you would like just ask! We offer bed and breakfast, half or full board, picnic lunches, afternoon tea, airport and station transfers and can organise a fully inclusive package - very popular for visitors to the Christmas Markets each Advent.
Relax in our cosy lounge with TV, videos, DVDs and books and a bright sun filled dining room. Outside there is lots of space to enjoy with a babbling mountain stream running through the garden. There is plenty of private, off-road parking and if you are travelling with a beloved motorbike we can organise garage space for you if required.
Come and see why so many of our guests return time after time. A warm welcome awaits you!

Things To Do
|
| Winter sports are big here - Nordic walking, X-country & downhill skiing are available in the valley. Lessons can be organised at the local ski school.
In Spring, the valley is covered with a carpet of wildflowers making walking, hiking & biking very popular. There are two large lakes locally offering sailing & other water sports.
The towns and villages of the area are beautiful - Alpine scenery at every twist & turn. Travel south to the Rhine (about 35 mins) and enjoy a day exploring the towns which straddle Germany & Switzerland. The copper-domed cathedral at St Blasien, just 7kms from Menzenschwand. Maybe even take in one of the free concerts on a summer evening.
During Advent the towns and villages of the area come alive as each town hosts a Christmas Market. Somehow trudging down your local high street will never be enough again! Let us put together an all inclusive package for you and your friends - a fantastic way to spend a weekend!
