Viella Vacances

Lovely village home in the heart of the Madiran wine region of deepest SW France and within 2hrs of the Spanish border. Situated in a peaceful village surrounded by vines and stunning views, Viella Vacances is an ideal base for a walking, cycling or a touring holiday. The whole area and Viella in particular is incredibly picturesque, so if you are an artist or photographer you will be truely spoilt for choice!!

The house offers three ensuite rooms, a large lounge for use by guests, a lovely garden and secure storage for bikes, cycles and walking equipment. The house has full central heating and is open all year.

The village has all the amenities you might need, from Village shops and bar to communal swimming pool (Jul & Aug) and tennis courts; all within 5 mins walk of the house.

There are plenty of local festivals going on throughout the year, including the annual 4x4 weekend in may and the village fete in July. Both Madiran and St Mont have huge wine festivals where many of the vineyards open their doors and hold special events. Marciac and it's famous Jazz festival is only 30 minutes from here and we are only 20mins away from Nogaro and its famous racing circuit. Being close to Pau airport and only two hours from Toulouse and Bordeaux, we are an ideal base for house hunting in Gers, Hautes Pyrenees, Landes and Pyrenees Atlantic.

If you fancy a trip to Spain for the day, we are about 2 hours away from the border and the pretty village a of Saint de luz.

Sorry, we can't take pets as we have 3 dogs of our own, chickens and 2 free range (but very friendly) pot bellied pigs !
