| Open all year round. Camping Asseiceira is located just 8kms from the Spanish border, enabling you to use our facilities as a base to explore both the spectacular Northern Alentejo region of Portugal, as well as Western Spain.
Peaceful and tranquil - yet the site is just a few minutes walk away from the village of Santo António das Areias, which has a useful selection of shops including a Butcher, Baker, Bank, Bars and Restaurants. Our bed and breakfast accommodation offers views up to Marvão and is an ideal base to explore this town and castle as well as nearby, Portagem, Castelo de Vide and Portalegre. We also have camping facilities if you prefer to bring a tent, or have a caravan or motor home. We offer discount rates for wintering.
This area is ideal for walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits, or alternatively take things more sedately and explore the beautiful and historic local towns and villages, then take it easy and soak up the sun by the pool.

Follow IP1 direction North – Turn off at Junction 7 onto A6/IP7 towards Estremoz – then IP2/E802 towards Portalegre – continue past Portalegre to right turn for Marvão /Spain - follow signs for Marvão and after roundabout at Portagem take first right and follow road to Santo António das Areias - at petrol station turn right down the hill and campsite is 400 metres on left
