The cottage is a pretty, detached, traditional stone building which has been fully renovated to provide comfortable two bedroomed accomodation plus bed settee in the living room,so can sleep 6 persons. It is situated on a quiet country lane on the outskirts of a small and friendly village.
The rear garden area has a 9 metre stone threshing circle, which is a great place to relax, read a book, sunbath or BBQ (provided). Because of its elevated position you can enjoy far reaching views of the surrounding countryside. There is also a circular above ground 4.5mt (90cm deep) pool and a toddlers paddling pool.

Things To Do

The local shop is two minutes walk and provides for all your basic needs. The town of Ansiao is only five minutes drive and has all the amenities you would expect from a market town. The university of Coimbra ( one of the oldest in Europe) is of interest for its architecture and the city for its shopping. Another place to visit is Tomar, headquarters of the Knights Templar in Portugal since the 12th century. You dont have to be a history buff to enjoy visiting this facinating fortification and its picturesque old town which is a UNESCO world heritage centre. The world famous pilgrimage centre of Fatima is less than one hours drive away. To the west lies the blue flag beach of Osso da Baleia, with miles of broad white sandy beach and pine forrest picnic areas.
