The country house is located at an elevation of 640 m in the middle of a 42-acre farm, full of nut, cherry and olive trees, seven kilometres away from Palazzolo Acreide, a town designated as a World Heritage site by U.N.E.S.C.O.
The Aguglia Farm is 30 minutes from Syracuse, Ragusa Ibla, Modica, the Pantalica Nature Reserve and is 20 kilometres away from Cavagrande del Cassibile and Noto only.
In the summer, Palazzolo Acreide hosts many cultural events and other entertainment such as: religious folklore, art exhibits, open-air theater, and musical performances at the Greek Theatre. The town has several churches, a post office, pharmacies, a newsstand, banks, a medical center as well as traditional restaurants, pastry shops with Sicilian specialties, bars, and pizzerias.

It’s half an hour from the Noto beaches and 40 minutes by car from the Ognina Marina, a small natural inlet used by local fishermen to dock their boats. The Diving Center is also located in the marina.
For the features and quality of our country house
The fresh climate in the summer and at sunset allows guests to relax outdoors after a day at the beach or sightseeing. Guests are well taken care of at Aguglia. The farm has eight non-smoking rooms, each with separate entrances and patios. The rooms are tastefully decorated with the owners’ personal antiques including furniture, terracotta pottery, and tools. The floors are made of Sicilian terracotta tiles and the roofs are framed with traditional wood beams. Each room is fully equipped with TV, mini bar, telephone, heating, and a modern bathroom. The patios are fully furnished so that guests may relax outside in privacy. There is no air conditioning in the rooms because in the summer, after the sunset, the Aguglia climate is always dry and fresh. During the summer you only need to open the windows when it gets darker, and the thickness of the main stone walls is sufficient to keep the room fresh, without having to use an artificial climate.

Directions
|
| It is easy to find us if you reach SP 24 road that joins Palazzolo Acreide -Testa dell’Acqua - Noto. You will find the signs of the 7th and the 8th km at exactly 7,300 km there is the farm holiday road. From motor-way ME-CT follow the road signs to Syracuse. Turn into SS114 to Syracuse go beyond the first exit Floridia-Syracuse and turn into following exit where you will find 4 towns: Floridia-Solarino-Palazzolo Acreide-Canicattini. Follow always the road signs to Canicattini town. Go beyond Canicattini town exit and go towards Palazzolo Acreide town. Go beyond Palazzolo A. exit and go straight to Noto. Then, after few hundreds of metres, turn on the right to San Marco-Testa dell’Acqua.
San Marco road presents one road fork with the sign to “Noto or to Aeronautica Militare (Military Station)” on the left and to Palazzolo on the right, here you always must turn on the right to Palazzolo. At the end (at “STOP” sign) turn on the left to Noto.
