| Covill Barn is situated in a stunning rural location on the Nidderdale Way overlooking Gouthwaite Nature Reserve. Set in pleasant stream side gardens.
It has been lovingly restored from an Eighteenth Century Cow Mistle and Granary to form a traditional Dales Home enhanced by many original features whilst complimented by modern facilities.

Things To Do
|
| Good walking starts directly from Covill Barn including the Nidderdale Way and a numerous variety of uncrowded footpaths and bridle paths across Nidderdale from the valley to the moors.
• Packed lunches are available if booked the day before.
Mountain biking is extremely popular with bridle paths linking up to other dales crossing the moors.
• Safe cycle storage is available free of charge.
Birdwatching -
Gouthwaite Nature Reserve can be viewed from your accommodation or you can walk around its boundary or use one of the hides provided. There is also a good variety of birds of prey to be seen soaring over the dale
Sightseeing -
Harrogate is 20 miles away with its colourful floral gardens. It is 15 miles to the cathedral city of Ripon and 30 miles to York with its wealth of attractions.
Locally, you can visit the World Heritage site of fountains Abbey, Newby Hall, Skipton, Grassington, Stumps Cross Caverns, Brimham Rocks and How Stean Gorge.
There are superb local restaurants and pubs within a short drive.

From the South via M1/A1 Leave at A59 Junction, follow A59 to Knaresborough, through Knaresborough take B6165 to Pateley Bridge via Ripley crossing the A61 From the North via A1M Leave at A61 Junction; follow to Ripon take B6265 to Pateley Bridge From West via A65 or A59 Head for Skipton, take B6265 to Pateley Bridge via Threshfield, Grassington and Greenhow Hill
From Pateley Bridge Turn right from North or South and Left if travelling from West at Petrol Filling Station on Low Wath Road. Past Nidderdale High School, along western edge of Gouthwaite Reservoir to Ramsgill. Passing Yorke Arms, leaving Ramsgill over hump back bridge turn immediately right (unsigned, unclassified single track road). Travel to end and turn right onto private road along eastern edge of reservoir over three cattle grids, after bridge over stream, Covill Barn is on your left.
White “Covill Barn B&B” signs guide you from the Ramsgill turn.
