| We are located at Wreck Cove right on the Cabot Trail in Victoria County on Cape Breton Island and from our cottages you can visit any part of Cape Breton Island within a 2 hour drive. We are well located for most of the activities that most people come to the Island to do. All outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, touring, kayaking, whale watches, beach combing skiing snowshoeing snowmobiling, etc. etc. are available right in our area. |

Things To Do
|
| Wreck Cove is located on the Eastern side of the Cabot Trail, directly across from the only road up into the Cape Breton Highlands, (the Wreck Cove Road) As well as the peace and security of the area there is great, fresh and salt water fishing, skiing (both down hill and cross country), ATV trails, hiking, snowmobiling and just about any kind of outdoor activities you can imagine. We are located just 20 minutes south of Ingonish where yachts can be docked, fine dining and entertainment abound, and it is the home of one of the top 2 golf courses in Canada, the Highlands Links. Approximately 35 minutes South is Baddeck and home to the Bell Bay Golf Course (best new golf course in Canada when it opened in 2003. I call our area Cape Bretons Nature Coast, because the land here by the sea, has been bought up in large parcels so the area keeps it's pristine nature, that is why I chose the name CapeBretonsNatureCoast.com for the name of my web site. |

Directions

| When heading North on the Cabot Trail Travel past Baddeck on highway 102, the Trans Canada Highway and take the Englishtown Turn off on Kelley's Mountain, go to the Englishtown Ferry, and when on the ferry press the odometer button and travel 32 Km. (about 20 miles) up the trail. On your left is the Wreck Cove General Store and about 1/2 Km. (1/4 mile) further on turn right into our driveway.
When coming south on the Cabot Trail, come south from Ingonish and travel over Smokey Mountain and from the bottom of the mountian travel about 10 Km. (6 miles) and on your left will be a sign for Wreck Cove Wilderness Cabins. If you come to the Wreck Cove General Store you have gone just a little bit too far, come back about 500 meters (1/4 mile). |
