For a weekend break in York, or a longer city break holiday, Holmlea Guesthouse is perfectly placed just 10 minutes walk from the centre of York with easy access to York's many attractions. We are located 400 yards from York's medieval walls which surround the city centre and within the Bishopthorpe Road area of York, a quiet and safe base with good local amenities for your visit including many restaurants, bars and delightful pubs.
Holmlea has double,four poster family/triple and twin rooms available, all with en-suite or private non-shared bathrooms. Consessions are offered for single occupancy. We also have ground floor rooms with easy access for the partially disabled. Holmlea accommodates up to 16 guests and offers inexpensive, high quality accommodation in York.
Our room and front door keys offer 24-hour access. All rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with colour television hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also an iron and ironing board for guest use.
A complimentary continental breakfast is served to the privacy of your room at whatever time you wish.
No need to worry about parking, permits are provided for free,safe and unrestricted on-street parking. We recommend that you leave your car near the guesthouse night and day and enjoy a riverside stroll into the heart of York.

Directions

| York's busy shopping centre, museums and racecourse are all within easy reach of Holmlea. We recommend that you leave your car near the guesthouse night or day during your stay and enjoy a riverside stroll into the heart of York.
Train: Holmlea Guesthouse is a short taxi ride from York Railway Station.
Walking: Holmlea Guesthouse is approximately a 10 minute walk from the train station, directions as follows: turn right out of the front of the station onto Queen Street, follow the road down until arriving at the road junction, you will see Micklegate Bar on your left which leads you back into the city centre. Turn right onto Blossom Street, you will pass the Odeon cinema on your right and a KFC on your left, keep walking on the left of Blossom Street passing South Parade, East Mount Road, Park Street before turning into Scarcroft Road. Walk along Scarcroft Road, passing a Victorian school set back from the road on your left. You will then come to some terraced house streets on your right, keep walking up Scarcroft Road until you arrive at Scott Street, turn into this Street and walk all the way up and Holmlea Guesthouse is the last building on your right on the corner of Scott Street and Southlands Road.
