Property Description

If the concept of bed and breakfasts is relatively recent this lovely old 16th century house is no stranger to welcoming travellers passing through Ardres.

Since its construction in 1630 (according to records at the Town Hall and the registration of the first taxes paid!), the house has been an inn, hotel, a doctors surgery and then a boarding school for girls during the second world war.

Do come and visit this charming little french town and make us your base for your explorations of this interesting area. Ideal stop either coming from the ferry or train or returning to UK. 25 mins from either channel crossings.

If you come from :
CALAIS TERMINAL FERRY -
Take the motorway towards the A16 and follow the Boulogne/Tunnel directions. When you are on the A16 stay in the right hand lane and take the first exit from the A16 to D943 towards Ardres/St Omer.
EUROTUNNEL
Take the A16 (Direction Calais/Lille) and take the D943 exit to Ardres/St Omer.

From the A26 (Paris/Reims/St Omer) Take exit No 2- join the D943 direction Calais (Ardres is 7 kms)

IN ARDRES
Go straight ahead when you reach the traffic lights towards the town centre of Ardres. When you arrive at the church on your right and the cobbled town square on your left we are the corner house at the next little road on your right. You will see our signpost swinging in the wind!!! Welcome you have arrived!
