| Cultural and sporting events such as music concerts, boules tournaments, folk dancing and walking festivals, cycling races, (tour de France), motor racing, canoeing and white water rafting competitions take place in the town all year round although the busiest time for the town is March to September when the festivals and cultural activities are at their peak. |

| The town is within a 45 minute drive of Carcassone Airport and medieval town and other airports such as Perpignan, Toulouse, Gerona (Spain) are within a two and a half hour drive. The nearest SKI resort is Camurac a 35-40 minute drive, other SKI resorts Mijanes-Donezan, Pulvalador, Formigueres are close to an hours drive away and within one and a half hours are some of the larger resorts like Les Angles and Font-Romeau. All this and you are still a little over an hours drive a way from the Mediterranean coast and its beaches. |
