Property Description

 
Aemstelhuys was built in 1780 and is a listed monument. Wherever possible the original features have been maintained. Original doors and windows, wooden floors and exposed beams set the tone of this lovely townhouse. The rooms have been tastefully decorated in a style which fits the house but with all modern comforts. Each room has an en suite bathroom. Care has been taken with the choice of comfortable beds and beautiful linens.

There is a small patio at the rear of the house where you can enjoy your cup of coffee on sunny mornings. In the winter months you will be welcomed with a roaring fire as you enter the living kitchen. Whatever time of the year you choose to visit Amsterdam, Aemstelhuys will welcome you with open arms!

Things To Do

Walk or bike along the canals, browse the Jordaan and the "9 streets" visit the van Gogh, Rijks and Hermitage Museums. The Colony Room
A very large double room with ensuite bathroom and an extra bed. Is below the first floor and has a private entrance from the street. Tea and coffee making facilities and a television. Wireless Internet. Very peaceful.		Room Rate
Between € 135 - € 185 for 2 or 3 persons. Price includes all taxes and extensive breakfast.
The Lady Grey Room
On the 2nd floor. Very light and spacious. Twin French beds and an ensuite bathroom. Wireless Internet. Tea and coffee making facilities, peace and quiet. Hairdryer available.		Room Rate
Between €135 - €150 for two sharing including all taxes and extensive breakfast
The Mistress Suite
Large double bedded room with large en suite bathroom with shower and bath. Sitting area with sofa and television. Tea and coffee making facilites and wireless internet. Hairdryer available.		Room Rate

Directions

From Central Station walk towards the trams to the LEFT of the station (usually track 2) and get into tram no. 4. Make sure you do not go to TRACK 4 ! You can buy a ticket in the tram (€ 1.60 p.p.). Get out at the stop “ Prinsengracht”. When you get out you are on the Utrechtsestraat by the bridge at Prinsengracht. Walk south on the street, not the canal and take the very next street left. This is the Utrechtsedwarsstraat and you will see the Carre Theatre at the end. Aemstelhuys is on the right hand side almost at the end and the house has two red doors.

If you decide to take a taxi from the station, it should cost not more than ten euros.
