| Heritage Guest House is in the small country town of Alexandria, Eastern Cape. Alexandria, originally called Olifantshoek where Addo elephants once roamed freely, is steeped in the history of the Xhosa, Afrikaans, Portuguese and British people.
Heritage Guest House began serving the travelling public in 1852 as the Alexandria Hotel. We have nine units comprising Doubles and Twins en suite and Singles with private bathrooms.
Delicious farm-style breakfasts are our speciality. while there is a licenced restaurant on the premises (under separate management).
Secure open parking is available in our back yard.

Things To Do
|
| Heritage Guest House is the ideal place for clean, affordable accommodation while exploring local beaches and various private and National game reserves, such as Addo Elephant National Park and Schotia Safaris. Arrangements can be made through us for day trips to these, among others.
We are 20 minutes by tarred road from a choice of magnificent beaches at Kenton on Sea, Bushman's River Mouth, Cannon Rocks and Boknes. |

Directions

| Alexandria is situated on the coastal road between Port Elizabeth and East London (R72), approximately half way between Cape Town and Durban.
Take the N2 from Port Elizabeth to Ncanaha (Nanaga) (50 km) then take the Port Alfred turn off R72 to Alexandria (50 km). From East London take the R72 past the airport and keep going approx. 190 km to Alexandria.
From Cradock you take the N10 to Ncanaha (Nanaga) and then R72 to Alexandria. |
