| 3 Bedroomed Gite / Apartment - with separate lounge and kitchen diner, 2 bedrooms with double beds, 1 bedroom with two single beds plus a large bathroom with bath, shower & WC. Sleeps up to 6 people. All linen & towels (not pool towels) are included and the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary items for self catering. Including full size fridge freezer, cooker, microwave and washing machine. TV with english freeview channels & DVD player in lounge. Shared swimming pool is available for guests to enjoy with a table, chairs and sun beds at your disposal. The pool is 9x4m and 1.4m deep. Guests can enjoy the lake area as a quiet place to sit and read and relax and a barbeque is supplied for outdoor dining, in a beautiful setting.
We also offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation in either a double room or family room.
Le Petit Lac is only 40mins from Limoges airport and only a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Bourganeuf, for all bars, restaurants, 4 estate agents (English speaking) and local square with shops but we are surrounded by countryside to give a feel of seclusion. Overnight or weekly stays can be accommodated for, whether you require a relaxing holiday spending your days sitting by the swimming pool or a spot of relaxation by our private lake, house hunting for a bargain property in the area or just passing through on your way to southern France, Spain or heading back to the Uk.

Things To Do

| The Le Petit Lac B&B is only a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Bourganeuf for all bars, restaurants, 4 estate agents (English speaking) and local square with shops but we are surrounded by countryside to give a feel of seclusion. Bourganeuf is a medieval town and has a traditional French market weekly for all your local produce including vegetables, meat & cheeses.
The Creuse is one of the least populated departments in France. It is renowned for its peaceful, unspoilt countryside, dramatic landscapes and breathtaking views and lots of water, everywhere. Ideal for fishing and walking.
Lac Vassiviere is a man made lake of 1000 hectares where you can enjoy windsurfing, canoeing, water-skiing, sailing, boat trips, rambling, riding, cycling and of course fishing! In the summer period the beach area has lifeguards for safe bathing, volleyball and a fun park for the children. |

Directions

| We are a 50 minute drive from Limoges airport. Take the N141 from limoges (direction Clermont Ferrand) which becomes the D941 approximatly 10 minutes from Bourganeuf.
The drive from most northern French ferry ports will take approx 7 hours. Exit the A20 at junction 23, head for Gueret then follow the signs to Bourganeuf.
Once in Bourganeuf follow the brown signs for the "Musée de l'électrification" as we are situated next door. |
