The Great Ocean Road
Hand built by returned World War 1 soldiers in honour of their fallen comrades - The Great Ocean Road is one of the most spectacular tourist drives in the world. Your driving over KM's of history every time you take the journey from Geelong to the Bellaine Peninsula, just an hour from Melbourne via The Princes Freeway. It's a must to do and see!
Bush Walking
People have enjoyed walking around Lorne for over a 100 years. Many of the walks in the area follow the old timber tramways dating from the logging days. Other walking tracks were built late last century. An extensive network of well made, clearly signposted tracks in the Angahook-Lorne State Park enables you to explore its varied features. Bushwalking opportunities range from short strolls to day walks. Many of the walks start from the various pinic areas in the park. |
