Situated only 30 minutes south of Fox Glacier and 50 minutes north of Haast,
and surrounded by the magnificent South Westland landscape, this boutique eco-lodge featuring various West Coast native timbers, provides an intimate atmosphere where guests are treated to the utmost hospitality. All guest rooms have ensuite bathrooms complete with heated floors and mirrors, bathrobes, hairdryers and toiletries. There is also a fully self contained suite available suitable as a family unit. Enjoy our selection of local cuisine, freshly picked vegetables from our garden, fine NZ wines and John’s complimentary interpretation tour of the area. Its all here - fishing, hunting, bush walking, the beach and wonderful photographic opportunities - and it’s peaceful as well.

Things To Do

There is a lot to do around here apart from the obvious of going to the glaciers. Walk the old tram track around Bruce Bay Walk along the beach. Views of Mt Cook. Fishing Kayaking Tour of the local area covering the history and environment. Relax.

Bruce Bay is approximately 35 minutes south of Fox Glacier and 50 minutes north of Haast. Mahitahi Lodge is situated directly opposite the historic Bruce Bay hall.
