La Pierre Plantée is a quiet modern B & B accommodation set in oak woods in the hamlet of Bazalgue.
This is in the region of the Lot, nestled in the stunning area of the Dordogne Valley, just outside the main towns of Martel and Souillac.
The house stands on the crossroads of a walking path. This is marked by a standing stone, which the house is named after. It is the last house in the hamlet, and the surrounding area has many views across the countryside.
Accommodation is for up to 6 persons, with 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and 1 bedroom with two adult bunk beds. There is a shared bathroom for the guests, and the use of the communal lounge with TV and dining areas. There is a large garden with a substantial terrace area where breakfast can be taken or for sunbathing and relaxing.

Things To Do
Great area for hiking and cycling on many local tracks. Canoeing and fishing on the Dordogne River. Plus great cave diving in Europes best cave diving sites, also caving, potholing and climbing. Sightseeing at the spectacular villages of Rocamadour and Turenne. Chateau Castelnaud with its intact battlements. Also the caves at Lacave and Padirac. Old trolydite dwellings near Sarlet, and many colourful markets with local produce.
