The Hoy Centre is situated on the spectacular island of Hoy. The centre was completely refurbished in early 2005 and now offers high 4 star quality accommodation. All rooms are en suite, with shower, and have twin beds and a bunk bed. All bedding is included. Family & exclusive rooms are available and one room is equipped for wheelchair access. There is a large well-equipped kitchen, comfortable TV lounge area, and spacious dining hall.

Things To Do

Hoy has a fascinating variety of hills, dramatic coastal scenery and low-lying fertile land. Spectacular cliffs bound the north and west of the island, while the southeast cost has many bays. Much of North Hoy is owned by the RSPB, where a large variety of birds live and breed. Off the west coast of the reserve towers The Old Man of Hoy, a 137m sea stack and is, perhaps, Orkney’s most famous landmark and a great place to see puffins.

Directions

Moaness Pier is the arrival point for pedestrians by ferry from Stromness from where it is a short walk to the Centre. A car ferry also operates from Houton to Lyness and details for both are available through Orkney Ferries (01856 872044).
