| The Farmer's Guest House in Galena, Illinois, was built in 1867 and operated as a bakery, store and hotel. The handsome, Italianate guest house became a favorite overnight stop for local farmers, who brought their goods to market, as well as a gathering place for Galena townsfolk. In keeping with the inns tradition of hospitality, we invite you to experience the delight, charm, romance and history of a by-gone era along with the conveniences of today.
Nine guest rooms, each with private baths, as well as a separate guest cottage, invite you into the warmth and comfort that is Farmers' Guest House.

A spacious suite, named in honor of Kathie's parents, that includes a whirlpool for two, gas fireplace and a king size bed. An interior brick wall plus skylights in each room add unique country charm. Additional sitting areas in both the bedroom and parlor rooms allow you to choose a place to read, relax or watch TV. Has a full size private bathroom.Also, a private entrance and a patio/porch adjoining one of our gardens adds to the ambience.

Luxurious two room suite, named by Kathie's sister, is indicative of it's name. Camelot features a unique, beautiful king size iron sleigh bed, gas fireplace and a double whirlpool. An old fashioned curio cabinet is filled with a miniature shoe collection. Sunny parlor room and bedroom are decorated in a Victorian theme evoking a feeling of romance and magic. Has a large private bathroom.
