| Casa das Pedras Grandes Guest House, Bed & Breakfast is an old Portuguese dwelling built with local stone. It has been recently renovated and modernised mixing traditional crafts and design with modern materials and technology, to make a comfortable and attractive home.
The guest accommodation comprises of a large ground floor double bedroom with en-suite and a large first floor double bedroom with balcony and private bathroom. There is also a comfortable guest lounge and dining area. For the comfort of our “off season” guests we have wood fired central heating, with radiators in all rooms.
We are well situated for those that want to get away and experience some of the true character and beauty that this country has to offer.
A Laptop computer is provided, as a research and information tool for our guests to use, whether it be for property hunting or information to plan days out. It is also available to enable communication, via email, Skype or Windows messenger, for those that wish to contact Property agents or check on travel details. The dedicated Portuguese pay-as-you-go mobile phone, is for our guests to help keep costs down, when ringing Portuguese mobile or landline numbers.
If guests prefer not to drive, we can provide transport in our 5 seater combi van, for days or evenings out and to and from the local train station or airports. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. |

Things To Do
|
| The surrounding countryside is a mixture of pine and scented eucalyptus forests, which cover the hills and mountains in a carpet of green. Rivers wind through the valleys which provide swimming from the Praia fluvial (river beaches)in the summer, fishing and other water sports.
Attractive villages and towns enable visitors to experience rural Portuguese life and the local cuisine. There are plenty of opportunities to exercise, both on foot and bicycle along the numerous cross country tracks.
The Silver Coast is around an hour away by car. Coimbra Portugal's third largest city, is 30 minutes by car or a relaxing hours train journey. There are many places of interest and historical sites within easy reach. |

The first floor bedroom has a balcony overlooking the enclosed courtyard and swimming pool. A table and chairs are provided to enjoy the wonderful views of wooded hillsides and some incredible sunsets during the summer. It has it’s own private bathroom, including bath and shower just outside the room. This bedroom opens out into a short curtained landing which leads to the guest lounge and dining area. There is also a portable cd radio player and hairdryer for your use. | Room Rate

| | Ground floor Bedroom
The ground floor bedroom has an en-suite shower room and enjoys views of the courtyard, small swimming pool and the wooded ridges that surround the house. There is a table and chairs for a private morning coffee or tea and those all important post cards. The bedroom windows have internal shutters which provide privacy and exclude all but the smallest amount of light. A cd radio player is provided for your use along with a hairdryer. This room opens out into the main dining area and is very convenient for the courtyard. | Room Rate

Directions

| Located in a small hamlet, in the beautiful rural setting of the Serra da Lousã, Central Portugal. The closest town is Lousã a 15 minute drive to the SW and has two railway stations which are on the rural line connecting it with Coimbra, 50 minutes away.
Porto airport is approximately two hours to the north by road. To the south Lisbon is two and a half hours. Full directions are available on confirmation of booking. |
