Mbewa Cabins is situated just off the N4, approximately 14km from Zeerust in the heart of the Marico bushveld, and is an excellent stop en-route to the Okavango Delta in Botswana and the fishing waters of Namibia, or even for a breakaway from city life for a relaxing weekend. The Botswana border post is approximately 100km away.

Accommodation consists of fully furnished and equipped rondawels (chalets) located around a swimming pool and private braai (barbeque) lapa area under lush shady trees. Ideal for self catering in total privacy, but meals and picnic lunches are available by prior arrangement.

We are located on a private farm with walking trails, game viewing and bird watching all available onsite. A tranquil bushveld environment with total privacy guaranteed. Major attractions such as Sun City, the Pilanesberg National Park, the Madikwe Game Reserve and Groot Marico (The home of Herman Charles Bosman and real "Mampoer Country") are conveniently located within a 130km radius.

Directions

From Pretoria or Johannesburg:-

Take the N4 via Rustenburg and Swartruggens towards Zeerust. Exactly 48km after the Swartruggens Toll Plaza turn right onto the Riekertsdam Road (gravel road). After exactly 1.3km on the Riekertsdam Road turn left at the "Mbewa Cabins" signboard. Follow road for 1.5km until you reach entrance (stone pillars).

From Lichtenburg or Mafikeng:-

From Lichtenburg or Mafikeng drive twards Zeerust. Continue through Zeerust on the N4 towards Swartruggens. Plus/minus 14km outside Zeerust turn left at the Riekertsdam turn-off (Orange Mbewa Cabins signboard). After exactly 1.3km on the Riekertsdam Road turn left at the "Mbewa Cabins" signboard. Follow road for plus/minus 1.5km until you reach entrance (stone pillars).
