| Converted 18th century croft house on a 70 acre hill farm which has Highland cattle and Herdwick sheep. Set high in the hills of Argyll we have wonderful views across the original kingdom of Dalriada. In the peace and quiet of the countryside yet only a few miles from the sea White Rock is a convenient base from which to explore the area.
We can provide evening meals by arrangement - vegetarian and vegan guests are most welcome - and local/organic produce is used where possible.

Things To Do
|
| Outdoor activities available include seeing our farm, many local forest trails, birdwatching, bike and horse riding, sailing, fishing, swimming and golf. See historic churches, castles and early-industrial sites, and visit our many prehistoric sites and the musuem in Kilmartin Glen.
Explore the scenic coastline or drive down the Kintyre penninsular. See the gardens, large and small, open to the public and visit the art exhibitions held several times a year. Keep a lookout for live music, concerts and dramatic events held in local bars and halls.

Directions
|
| From Glasgow: head North on the A82 via Loch Lomond. Left turn at Tarbet and follow the A83 through Arrochar, Inveraray and Lochgilphead. Right turn on to the Oban road (A816) then folloing directions to Tayvallich take the left fork on to the B841 at the Cairnbaan Hotel. Follow the Crinan Canal and left turn on to the B8025 signed to Tayvallich. *Take the right fork at the Celtic Cross onto a singne track road, signed to Tayvallich. After about 1 mile turn right at the White Rock sign and follow the forest road for threequarters of a mile, through the gate and on to the farmhouse.
From the North: take the A816 south from Oban. Approximately 2 miles past Kilmartin right turn on to the B8025, signed to tayvallich, and follow this to the Crinan Canal bridge at Bellanoch. Turn right on to the B841 for threequarters of a mile, then left on to the B8025 and follow the route as above from * |
