Vine House

This beautiful cottage is to be found in the heart of Old Whitby, in Grape Lane (reputed to be the oldest road in town), opposite the Captain Cook Museum. Vine House sits on medieval foundations whilst the present day property has many Georgian features.

The cottage, which is a favourite for weekends away, has been restored to an exceptionally high standard and is furnished for six people in a period style, befitting its age.

With ship's timbers for floors in many of the rooms, a traditional cooking range in the kitchen, Egyptian chandeliers, cast iron bath and a sumptuous four poster bed, Vine House not only has upper harbour and river views, it is a truly opulent treasure breathing the days gone by.
