Things To Do

The Stirling area is home to some of Scotland's greatest history, heroes and landmarks. On 11th Sept 1297 William Wallace and the Earl of Murray steered the Scottish army to a victory at Stirling Bridge that would inspire future generations. 24th June 1314 Robert the Bruce's superior tactical abilities lead an outnumbered Scottish army to its decisive victory over English forces at Bannockburn Landmarks in Stirling include Stirling Castle, arguably Scotland's finest castle. The Wallace Monument, raised to commemorate the life of Scotland's most famous hero and Cambuskenneth Abbey, the oldest building in the area situated in beautiful surroundings. Others include - the Smith Art Gallery and museum, Cowanes Hospital, and the Old Town Jail.
