| Only 40 minutes south of Hobart and nestled in the Huon Valley, you will find Donalea B&B. The property is a 1920's double brick Californian Bungalow that boasts stunning river views, award winning cottage gardens and luxurious facilities.
Privacy and personal service is assured, with only two ensuite guest rooms, separate tea room with microwave, large guest lounge and private entrance.
On arrival, we spoil you with a Devonshire Tea, which you can enjoy either in the dining room or on the front balcony overlooking the gardens to the Huon River.
Both rooms are large with spacious ensuites (1 Spa Bath), TV/DVD, electric blankets, hairdryers, clock radios and heating.
No need to stay in your room, as you have your own large guest lounge with open fire, extensive DVD/Video,CD collection, board games, magazines or perhaps just admire the magnificent views. When you rise in the morning, we treat you to a choice of 3 home made breads (white, wholemeal & raisin), cereals, fruit juice, pikelts, plunger tea/coffee and mouth watering blackberry muffins.
Located in the heart of the Huon Valley and among the apple orchards, we are close to the Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves, Huon Jetboats and South West National Parks.

Things To Do

| Visit the Tahune Airwalk which takes you high above some of the most beautful Tasmanian forests.
Spend a day at Hastings Caves, where you can marvel at the enormous dolomite caves formed some 40 million years ago.
The Hartz and South West National Parks are perfect for walking and sightsseeing some of Tasmanias wonderful wilderness.
For the adventurous, try the Huon Jetboat rides on the mighty Huon River or
perhaps just sit and relax in front of the logfire with a cuppa at Donalea and take a stroll around two acres of cottage and forest gardens. |

| Castle Forbes Bay is 15km south of Huonville or 45 minutes south of Hobart on the A6. We are located in Crowthers Road and well signposted. Large well lit, off road carpark provided. Also 10 minutes from Geeveston, the gateway to the South West National Parks. |
