Nestled within the spectacular Southern Alps, Edgewater Resort is located on the shores of Lake Wanaka. Edgewater Resort is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere where guests can find their own pace of life and re-energise.
Guests soak up the alpine vistas and enjoy the clarity and spectacular colours of the area. They recline and ‘chill out’ in the spacious open gardens, enjoy tennis and a sauna or take a leisurely stroll around the lake.

Rooms: Edgewater Resort offers a selection of room types from hotel rooms through to one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom apartments, which cater for up to six guests. The spacious rooms allow guests to spread out and enjoy their ‘home away from home’. All rooms open out to balconies or directly onto spacious grounds where stunning views of the lakes and mountains await.
Facilities: Guests enjoy a range of dining options including Sargoods Restaurant, a longtime Wanaka favourite, which features the very best of New Zealand cuisine.
At the heart of the Wineglass Cafe is a cosy fire providing a warm welcome. Seasonal menus offer relaxed dining throughout the day and into the evening.
The adjoining Pavilion courtyard offers group guests splendid views. and is sheltered perfectly from the caress of the occasional evening zephyrs of wind.

Things To Do

Located at the Resort is a children's play area, tennis courts, spa and sauna. On our lakefront edge we have kayaks available and there is a pedestrian walk way allowing guests to explore the spectacular rural and alpine scenery. Mountain bikes are available for hire. The Wanaka region is famous for skiing in the winter and for lake based activities in the summer, autumn and spring. There are numerous sight seeing and attractions to suit all ages and interests
