| Barry and Lindy took over Ashdale in 2005 after giving up a lifetime in education. This Georgian property was built in 1848 when Matlock Bath was developing into a spa. All rooms are en-suite with 1 double and 3 spacious family rooms, 2 overlooking the river. A wide range of breakfasts are available with locally sourced foods and home-made bread and marmalade. |

| Matlock Bath is on the edge of the Peak District, 1 mile south of Matlock and within 20 miles of Derby, Sheffield, Nottingham, Buxton and Chesterfield. Close to good walking, climbing and canoeing. Nearby is Chatsworth House, Haddon,Hardwick,Sudbury and Kedleston Halls. The World Heretage Valley begins at Matlock Bath and The High Peak trail starts 2 miles up the road. The cable cars to The Heights of Abraham are round the corner as is the Peak Rail Steam train and the National Stone Centre. What more could you want? |
