| For skiers and snowboarders in the winter; cyclists, climbers, walkers and river sports in the spring and summer; 'Le Duplex' is a fun and sociable Bed and Breakfast in the beautiful Alpine resort of La Chapelle d'Abondance, near Chatel.
Le Duplex B&B is a large penthouse suite on the top two floors of a chalet-style building in the centre of La Chapelle. We can sleep up to 14 in two double/triple rooms, and a gite style 8 bed room.
Le Duplex boasts an exceptional social space for dining and lounging with a double height ceiling into the roof and an immense floor space. We have an open fire, SKY TV, WIFI, a Pool Table and a selection of DVD's, books and board-games.
Le duplex is non-smoking but we have a full length balcony where you can smoke and also admire the beautiful views up and down the Abondance Valley and of the pistes.
In the basement we have two garages with cleaning facilities and a large lockable drying/storage room for your ski equipment & bikes. |

Things To Do
|
| At 1010m-2432m La Chapelle is the French starting point of the Portes du Soleil. This huge ski domain boasts 650km of alpine ski pistes in 14 French and Swiss resorts. These resorts are each diverse in style and age as they are in ski terrain.
Le Duplex is opposite La Chapelle's own ski area, the 'Cret Beni'. The ESF ski school is located at the bottom of the slopes, and there are two slope side restaurants.
La Chapelle's telecabine takes you up to the ski-lifts linking you to the Portes du Soleil and Super-Chatel.
From Chatel Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets are easily accessible via pistes and chair lifts. Each area has it's own snowpark.
As well as down hill skiing and boarding, the Portes du Soleil has 35km of Nordic Ski paths where you can discover winter nature in all it's beauty. There are cross-country pistes 'Ski de Fond' and snowshoe paths 'raquettes' to follow. |

The ‘Board’ room is a large gite style room which can sleep up to 8 people and can be booked on a bed by bed, daily or weekly basis. It has flexible bedding and can suit a number of individuals as well as a large family booking.
This room has an en-suite bathroom with a hairdryer. It has a separate sofa area on our mezzanine level and a balcony. | Room Rate

| | Chalet Room
Our ‘Chalet’ room is styled in the traditional alpine way. It is a large room with a double bed, but has space for an additional single bed. It has a built in wardrobe and cupboard space, and an en-suite bathroom.
You have views of the beautiful church spire next door, and up the valley to the pistes of super-chatel.

| | P-Star Room
Our ‘P-Star’ room has a deluxe 70's double bed, which excudes into the style of the whole room. It has it’s own mini-bar and sliding doors onto the balcony.
A large luxury en-suite bathroom with twin basins, large bath and separate shower has a private balcony with table and chairs.
From the balcony you have views up and down the whole valley, the Mont de Grange and our local ski slopes.

Directions

| We are on the French/Swiss border just below Lake Geneva. We are 1 1/2 hours drive from Geneva airport. British Airways and Easyjet both fly to Geneva, where you can pick up a hire car or catch a train. We can arrange for transfers from the airport or from nearby train stations Thonon-les-bains or Aigle in Switzerland.
Driving here?
It's between a 9-11 hour drive from Calais. We can provide you with road directions & toll costs.
