Things To Do

Historic Bath invites the traveler to spend a few relaxing days strolling through the pleasant parks overlooking the Kennebec River or rummaging through the many antique stores on Front Street. Beach lovers will find two sandy state park beaches within a short drive. The nationally acclaimed Maritime Museum, The Chocolate Church or the Art Gallery of Bowdoin College furnish exciting diversions on a rainy afternoon while short drives to Portland, Wiscasset, Boothbay Harbor or Freeport (home of L.L. Bean) can satisfy every shopper's appetite. And speaking of appetites, the restaurants in the area serve marvelous seafood on tables overlooking the great bays and charming coves.

SUITE ROOMS: The suite is located on the second floor just off the main hallway. There are two bedrooms in the suite, which share a large and recently remodeled bathroom.

The 40’s Room has a double bed and is decorated with antiques from Mom’s WWII attic.

The Safari Room has a queen-size bed and is decorated with an exotic mix of Asian and African artifacts.

Victorian
The Victorian Room with its high ceiling and bay window has a panoramic view of Washington Street, a street listed in the National Register of Historic Places. This lovely room contains a queen-sized bed, a white marble nonworking fireplace, a sitting area and quite a collection of antiques. The Victorian and the Moses Rooms are adjacent to and connected with each other in case you would like to rent them as a Suite for up to four persons.		Room Rate

Vintage
The Vintage Room looking out on historic Washington Street, has high ceilings, an queen size bed, an original washstand and lots of light. The 3/4 private bath is large and airy.		Room Rate

Directions

Take the Maine State Turnpike (Route 95) to Exit 6A (Route 295).* Continue to Exit 28 (Route 1, Brunswick and Bath) where you should exit**. Entering Bath, stay right for the last exit before the Bridge (marked "Historic Bath") and proceed to Washington Street (set of lights). Turn left and drive 6 blocks to 1009 Washington Street which is on your right. Please park at the front door.

*If you miss Exit 6A and continue on Route 95, you must then take exit 9 (which takes you to Route 295 and to Coastal Route 1, Brunswick and Bath).

**If you miss Exit 28 on Rt. 295 you can make the next Exit 31 (Topsham Connector) and turn right to get to Coastal Route 1 to Bath.
