| Agro-Bio-tourism “Quinta da Comenda” at S. Pedro do Sul near Viseu – Portugal have 6 bedrooms and one apartment at an Organic Farm (EcoTourism). One house with tree double, other with two doubles and a suite.This lovely group of buildings most “sweetly recommends itself unto the sense” the local Beira granite of manor and outbuildings is softened by a rampant camellia which lends swathes of colour when in flower.
Lovers of good organic wine have heard of Quinta da Comenda; it exports its prize- winning whites, Red and rosés all over the world you probably won’t have heard is that the first king o Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques did battle nearby broke a leg and was forced to stay at his uncle place, the Quinta da Comenda. It later passed to the hands of The Order of Malta; hense the cross above the main entrance. Wander down to the river and a Roman Bridge, through the vineyards and orchards.

Directions

| The nearest airport is in OPORTO, approximately 1 hour 30 mins away by car.
Take the A1 from Oporto to "ALBERGARIA -A-VELHA" until you reach the IP5-A25 to (Viseu side) and at "Vouzela"; "São Pedro do Sul". From here you will see signs for "Agro-Turismo Quinta da Comenda". The farm is 2km after the village of São Pedro do Sul on the right hand side.
