| Discover the delights of the Peak District National Park in the tranquil and stunning surroundings of Underleigh House. This extended cottage and barn conversion (dating from 1873) nestles under Lose Hill in the heart of magnificent walking country. Underleigh, with the prestigious '5 star' grading for Guest Accommodation and VisitBritain's Gold Award, is a B&B run with enthusiasm and offers everything the discerning walker and visitor requires. After a day in the Peak Park relax in the beamed lounge (with log fire when chilly) or on the terrace surrounded by flowers. Superior beds with quality duvets encourage a relaxing night. In the morning experience the delicious breakfasts served in ‘house-party’ style around the large oak refectory table in the flagstoned dining hall. The home-made specialities on offer include our own recipe muesli, our own breads, several fruit compotes and porridge gently simmered overnight in the Aga. The tasty sausages, eggs and black pudding are all local, as are the soft Derbyshire oatcakes (a traditional delicacy specific to the area). Winner of Derbyshire’s ‘Best Breakfast’ Award in 2004, Underleigh also won the Gold Award for Best Bed and Breakfast at the East Midlands Enjoy Excellence Awards in 2006. Underleigh House holds a Peak District Environmental Quality Mark and is a member of Peak District Cuisine.

Things To Do
| The area is a paradise for walkers but, for those not so energetic, visits to the historic houses of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall or Lyme will appeal.
We are within a few miles of notable interesting towns and villages such as the spa town of Buxton, the 'Plague Village' of Eyam, Bakewell (famous for its pudding), Hathersage (associated with 'Little John' and 'Jane Eyre') and Castleton (renowned for its castle, caverns and the world famous 'Blue John' stone). |

Directions
| To find Underleigh House, come into Hope village on the A6187 (formerly A625) to the Parish Church. Opposite the church (and with the 'Old Hall' pub on the corner), take the road singposted to Edale for about 0.6 mile (past the 'Cheshire Cheese' pub and under the bridge) until the de-restriction road sign which marks the end of the 30 mph zone. Just beyond, take the cul de sac lane to the left of the facing house (at Underleigh’s sign) and continue for 0.3 mile, keeping to the right all the way. (The lane is narrow so drive carefully!) Underleigh is the first property on the right and the entrance to the car park is directly before the house.
