The property is built around a 16th century chateau, where we offer bed-and-breakfast, but two adjacent cottages -- fully equipped and furnished to a high standard -- are also available for self-catering. Behind the chateau is a 25-metre solar-heated natural swimming pool, with views across the Marais. We're located 12 Km from the beach and in the middle of numerous D-Day monuments and museums.

Things To Do

We're ideally situated between Bayeux and Carenten, near Isigny-Sur-Mer, with convenient access to the area's war museums, monuments and memorial cemeteries dating to D-Day in 1944. The landings are a quick drive north to the beach. Guests have also enjoyed the famous Bayeux tapestry, the golf courses nearby, bird-watching and fishing. And of course we're in the perfect spot to sample the best French cuisine, with excellent seafood and shellfish, local Norman cheeses and wonderful Calvados and cider -- both famous in the region.

A comfortable twin bedded room with ensuite shower room. Lovely period furniture.		Room Rate

Zoe's Room
Large double bedroom beautifully furnished and with ensuite shower room in the tower. The room overlooks the Bessin national park and the marshes. 		Room Rate

Directions

Coming from Paris take the N13 and after Bayeux take the turn-off to La Cambe. At the stop sign turn left, at the roundabout take the 3rd turning to Monfreville. Drive over 4 small bridges and after the last one take the 2nd right. We are about 1/2 mile on the right hand side. Ignore the exit Monfreville sign as we are a bit further on and don't take the left turn to the church.
