|
|
| Described by Conde Nast Traveler in the September 2007 issue as "a class act," Middleton Inn is the highest rated bed and breakfast in the Mid-Atlantic for excellence in service and accommodations by the AAA which has bestowed its Four Diamond Award for the last decade. The bed and breakfast inn is a short stroll to the restaurant at the Inn at Little Washington. Gracing the historic Middleton estate is a stately Federal manor house, circa 1840, with four exquisite accommodations; a romantic guest cottage, circa 1840, and a restored log house, which was built in the 1700s around the time George Washington surveyed the town and allegedly drank from the cabin's well. All of the inn's accommodations have working fireplaces and private baths, most of them marble baths. Middleton Inn is a member of Select Registry's Distinguished Inns of North America, the Professional Association of Innkeepers International, and the Bed and Breakfast Association of Virginia.
