| Domaine de la Tour is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, at an altitude of 500 metres, not far from the village of Le Mas d'Azil, famous for her prehistoric caves. The domain exists of a 6 hectare large terrain with garden, an oak tree forest, fields and meadows. The domain has it's own cave which serves as cellar.
The gîte is detached and has a fenced garden with a lovely view. There are two terraces: one covered and a sunny one. Both terraces have garden furniture, there is also a barbecue.
The Gîte The gîte is a 40 m2 detached house on two floors. The entrance gives onto the living room with kitchen. The kitchen is fully equiped with fridge, microwave oven, clothes washer, coffee maker, water boiler, etc.
The living has a dining table and comfortable sitting area. There is satelite tv. Heating is by electrical radiators and a wood burning stove. There is a bathroom with shower and toilet. Stairs lead down to the bedroom on the ground floor which is partly carved out of the rock. This maintains the temperature to a moderate level throughout the year. A large window provides ample light. There is a double bed and plenty of storage room.
Prices and Reservation The rent is 400 € per week during the peak season (july and august), the other months the rent is 300 € per week. Linen and end cleaning are included. During peak season electricty is includes as well, the rest of the time it will be billed separately (20 cents per Kw). There is a 200 € deposit.
We aks for down payment of 25%, the remaining 75% on arrival.
Arrival during peak season at friday from 14:00 o'clock, departure vertrek at friday before 10:00 o'clock. In the other months a different arrival/departure day is possible by mutual agreement.
Pets are not allowed.

| Sights
The city of Toulouse, the well-known city of Carcassonne as well as the smaller cities of Saint Girons and Foix
offer a great variety of mediaeval buildings and churches and the possibility to wander in their streets.
But also the many weekly markets, antiquity-, pottery- and crafts markets as well as musical performances
enjoy the visitors during the season. Walk in the steps of the Cathars, the citadel Montségur lies nearby.
And don’t forget to visit the famous caves of Niaux with their 13.000 years old cave-drawings. Let a visit
to the prehistorically park in Tarascon or a boat-excursion over the subterranean river of Labouiche take you
back to the stone age.
Sport and other activities
Cycling, mountain biking, canoeing,
canyoning, hiking, golf, horseback riding and climbing are just a few of the activities you can undertake.
