A small friendly Chambres d’hote/ gite located on the outskirts of a typical French small market town just a short walk from both the town centre with its facilities & the open countryside. Not for those who want hustle & bustle because it just doesn’t happen here.
In Chez Rowen you have a choice of one or two bedrooms for yourself & family sleeping a maximum of four people having your own bathroom with shower & bath.
Each bedroom has a television for French TV plus a DVD player or you may prefer to sit out on the patio to enjoy the tranquil summer evenings after a leisurely stroll up to a village bar or restaurant
We can provide ,given notice, a 2 or 4 course evening meal for your enjoyment.
Alternatively you may wish to book the accommodation on a gite basis for two people which comprises of a double bedroom, lounge, kitchen diner & shower room with separate entrance. There is a small patio area & barbecue for your use.

Things To Do

Situated on the borders of the Charente, Vienne & Deux Sevres Lezay is the perfect place from which to discover this region of France. With its climate ( the second sunniest in France ) & its varied countryside the area offers something for everyone.You can walk up to the town centre with its fishing lake, tennis courts & open air heated swimming pool or on a Tuesday visit the local market ( the lagest in the area) Within easy travelling distance of La Rochelle and the coast, and also Poitiers and Futuroscope. Close by are ancient silver mines,Romanesque churches, the historic abbey of Celles sur Belles the forest of Chize and its zoo and the Marais Poitevin ( Green Venice ) with fishing, boating, walks and cycling. Situated between the cities of Poitiers and Niort, easily accessible by TGV, train, road or by air from nearby airports at Poitiers, La Rochelle, Rochefort, Bordeaux and Limoges.

On reaching Lezay Centre take the D105 marked to Chef Boutonne go straight over the mini roundabout & Chez Rowen is located approx 100 metres on the left hand side on the outskirts of the town
