Welcome to DownHome Bed and Breakfast. Enter our, gracious Georgian house that offers elegance wrapped an air of tranquility and comfort with modern conveniences.

Our home is situated in a quiet area of the Olde Towne, only four short blocks Queen Street and it’s unique shops, boutiques, theaters, and fine restaurants. All three Shaw Festival theatres are within walking distance from DownHome.

Niagara-on-the-Lake has been designated one of Canada's few heritage districts and has been proclaimed the "prettiest town" in Ontario. Rich in history, the town dates back to the time of 1778, after the American Revolution, when United Empire Loyalists settled the area. All around us are buildings and homes dating back to just after the War of 1812.

Our spacious and comfortable lounge has an information area with pamphlets of the attractions and listing of restaurants in Niagara on the Lake. We have a coffee and tea station with coffee and tea available 24/7 along with cookies and sweets.

Our period dining room is open for a three course gourmet breakfast between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. After breakfast sit on our patio and look over our garden and historic One Mile Creek.

The handsome dark wood floors in the bedrooms, help to accentuates our family’s antiques and artwork. Each guestroom has it’s own period ambiance, luxurious queen bed, mini fridge and scenic view of our picturesque gardens.

Stroll down to our garden and relax in any of our sitting areas overlooking our pond with waterfall and One Mile Creek.

The soothing green walls help highlight the elegant dark coloured queen sleigh bed complete with feather duvet and embroidered luxury cotton sheets. The ensuite has soft fluffy towels. On those chilly days you can relax in our burgundy recliner, as you toast your feet in front of the gas fireplace. The large sliding widow features a view of our garden and historic One Mile Creek. This room features a massive black four poster queen size bed, and a wine coloured ensuite with Jacuzzi. As you climb into bed you will be surrounded by soft gold coloured walls and your body will be caressed by tan Egyptian cotton sheets and warmed by a feather duvet.

Chardonnay
This room offers a private ensuite and a sitting area where you can relax as you read or sip your wine discussing the days events. A billowing chiffon canopy queen size bed with embroidered cotton 400 thread sheets and a vintage rose patterned feather duvet will surely bring out the romance.
