| La Rivolte is a magnificent 19th century mansion surrounded by 5 acres of Mediterranean gardens. There is a jade green heated swimming pool and sauna and the villa has spectacular panoramic views over the Bay of Cannes and the old town of Grasse, known as the perfume capital of the world. The villa has 8 provencal bedrooms, 7 in the villa with sea views. The 8th bedroom, Herb Cottage, is an annex in the garden and has a private patio/garden area. Although situated in a quiet residential area, all local amenities such as shops, restaurants, etc. are just a 5 minute walk away. There are 2 salons, one with satellite TV, piano, X-Box and DVD player, the other a library with novels, guidebooks and maps. A delicious continental breakfast is served either on the terrace with panoramic views or in the very short winter, in the large kitchen/dining room with open fireplace. La Rivolte is an excellent base from which to explore the Cote d'Azur. |

Things To Do
|
| The Cote d'Azur is famous worldwide and there are obviously numerous leisure activities in the area. As well as the beaches and the warm Mediterranean, there are several excellent golf courses within a half hour radius of the villa, kayaking, canyoning, hiking, sailing, diving, paragliding, perfume workshops, etc. Antibes, Nice, Cannes, Monaco/Monte Carlo, St. Tropez, St. Paul de Vence and the spectacular Gorges du Verdon are all just a short drive away. There are 3 large perfumeries in Grasse where they give guided tours and offer a 2 hour perfume workshop. |

Directions
|
| La Rivolte is just 25 minutes from Nice airport. If you arrive in Grasse from the A8 motorway, drive through the centre of the town direction Magagnosc/Chateauneuf. At the top of the town is the bus station where you take the green sign for Nice. There will be a row of shops on your left and the bank and pharmacy. At the end of this row, turn up left, but immediately right into Chemin des Lierres. After the first bend to the right, you will see the sign for La Rivolte up ahead and the gates. Drive up the driveway to the villa.
Coming to Grasse on the D2085, after Magagnosc, you will see a black sign on your right - 'Grasse Centre' - turn immediately right here (hairpin bend) and up the hill - after the first bend to the right you will see the entrance to La Rivolte straight up ahead. |
