Enjoying superb sea views of the Marlborough Sounds, Tirimoana House is located a convenient thirty minute drive from both Picton and the Marlborough wineries. Our two-storey home sits on an elevated waterfront site once occupied by the historic Tirimoana Hotel. Our 4 sumptuous bedrooms are all ensuite, all have antique French queensize beds (one has a 1789 four poster) antique bedside cabinets and chandeliers. One suite sleeps 4.
Our home has antique furniture throughout and many works of art both local and international, collected by your hosts on their NZ & international travels(John and Michelle are both artists).
Close by is the renowned Queen Charlotte Track (walk out - water taxi back), kayaking, mountain biking and of course those famous wineries. Relax afterwards in our swimming pool or in front of the log fire in winter before enjoying a gourmet dinner of local fare and wines. Michelle is an international chef. The Blistered Foot cafe is open from 11am-4pm for guests, those walking the Queen Charlotte Track or waiting for the water taxi.

Walking the world famous Queen Charlotte Track water taxi back. Walks for all levels of ability. Sea Kayaking – guided or not in our picturesque sound. Safe double sea kayaks Float Plane flight in Marlborough Sounds. Pick up and drop off virtually in front of Tirimoana House. Directions

From Picton
At the exit from the ferry there is a round about round about
Take Queen Charlotte Drive and drive 20-25 mins till you come to a large sign saying Queen Charlotte Walkway. This points down Anakiwa Road. Drive 5 minutes till you drop down into the bay. You will see the Tirimoana House sign on the left

From Blenheim/Nelson
Drive in the direction of Havelock just before/after Havelock you will see a large sign saying Queen Charlotte Drive. Turn here. Drive till you pass Linkwater petrol station
And you will come to a large sign saying Queen Charlotte Walkway. This points down Anakiwa Road. Drive 5 minutes till you drop down into the bay. You will see the Tirimoana House sign on the left
